Cajun Shrimp Sauce Recipe For Grilled Fish
This Shrimp Sauce Recipe is an easy way to add a delicious topping for any grilled fish recipe, especially red fish or Snapper. I would suggest it on your grilled striped bass recipes. I've gotten rave reviews every time we've prepared it! True Winner!
- 1 lb. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk or half n half
- Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
- 3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sautee garlic 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in flour and seasoning to make a paste. Gradually stir in milk, stirring until sauce is thickened.
Add shelled deveined shrimp and cook for 3 – 4 minutes until shrimp turns pink. Remove from heat; add the lemon juice and Parmesan cheese.
Pour over grilled fish, sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese if desired.
