  • 1 lb. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk or half n half
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
  • 3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic

In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sautee garlic 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in flour and seasoning to make a paste. Gradually stir in milk, stirring until sauce is thickened.

Add shelled deveined shrimp and cook for 3 – 4 minutes until shrimp turns pink. Remove from heat; add the lemon juice and Parmesan cheese.

Pour over grilled fish, sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese if desired.
