Deb's recipe stuffed mushrooms

Deb's recipe stuffed mushrooms: When it comes to a stuffed mushroom you can’t have them with both the sausage and the cream cheese. Try these at your next get together….Your friends will be glad you did!

  • 1 Large Package (Or approximately 12 ounces) of Whole Mushrooms
  • 1 8 oz Block of Cream Cheese
  • 3 Green Onion Chopped (Including Green Tops)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3/4 Pound of Spicy Pork Sausage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash mushrooms and remove stems. Chop the stems finely. In a skillet brown the pork sausage. When the sausage is almost done, add the chopped mushroom stems and the green onion. Continue cooking till sausage has browned. Drain the excess grease.

Add the Worcestershire Sauce and block of cream cheese to the skillet with the sausage. Stir mixture over low heat until cream cheese has melted.

Scoop cheese and sausage mixture with a tablespoon and fill each mushroom cap. Place in a baking dish or pan. It helps to pack them close together so that the mushrooms do not fall over.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.
