Moms Burger Recipe
Moms Burger... Back to Basics. Enjoy!!!
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- black pepper to taste
- 1lb ground beef
- 3 tbs fine dry bread crumbs
- 4 slices of American or Cheddar Cheese (Optional)
- 4 burger buns
- Homegrown Tomatoes
- Purple Hull Onions
- Green Leaf Lettuce or Iceberg Lettuce
Mix egg, salt and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl combine breadcrumbs (or smashed Saltine Crackers) and mix into the meat.
Combine two bowls and continue to mix. Place mixture in frig for about 20 – 25 minutes then remove and form patties. Then sear or grill to taste; for a juicy burger, do not cook beyond medium-rare.
Add cheese prior to Burgers being fully cooked so cheese will melt on patty. Heat buns on grill or in microwave. On separate condiment plate slice onions, tomatoes and place leaf lettuce in a manner that will enhance your overall presentation.
