Easy iced tea recipes
Our iced tea recipes are a welcomed change from soft drinks typically served on a cookout. Not only are they cool and refreshing, they are very easy to make as well.
Mint Julep Tea
- 2 quarts sun tea
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of tightly packed mint leaves
In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar and mint. Bring to a boil, and then turn back your fire to a medium level heat. Stir occasionally, until your mixture becomes slightly syrupy, about 4 – 5 minutes; then strain. In a large container blend your mint syrup with the sun tea and serve over ice. Quite refreshing!
Zinger Sun Tea
- Luzianne Sun Tea Bags
- Raspberry Zinger Tea Bags
- Fresh Lemon or Lime
- Mint Sprig
When making your sun tea, merely add 2 Raspberry Zinger tea bags to your favorite sun tea blend (mine happens to be Luzianne Sun Tea). You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the added flavor. Lemon or Lime to taste and add a sprig of fresh mint. Sweeten only if you’re prepared to write a write a really cool blues song. (Then go ahead and “Sugar To Taste!”)
