Homemade Salad Dressings

For a truly unique flavor, you need to try homemade salad dressings rather than buying a salad dressing mix from a store. Sure it takes a little longer, but the end result is a salad dressing made by you, just the way you like it.

We've enlisted the help of our friends to bring you a couple of tasty salad dressings you can try on your next event. They are easy to make and packed with flavor.

As you try them out, remember, if you'd like to share your salad dressing with us, please let us know! We'll be sure to include it here and give you all the credit!

Leslie’s (Knock Your Sock’s Off) Blue Cheese Salad Dressing

  • 3 Ounce Roquefort Cheese
  • 1 Pint (16 Oz) Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Chives (Green Tops included)
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 3 Teaspoon Coarse Black Pepper
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk

Texas Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • crushed dried red pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil.

In a medium bowl, whisk all ingredients except olive oil. After mixed thoroughly, add olive oil in thin stream and whisk until emulsified. This balsamic salad dressing is killer when used with a fresh baby spinach and spring mix green salad. You’ll actually want to drink the leftovers.
