Chet Kelsey's Bourbon Marinade
Cook's notes: For Chet Kelsey's Bourbon Marinade, or any other marinade for that matter, when pouring on your meats, don't use a metal pan! Use plastic containers instead, or even better, zip lock bags. Whatever you use, remember to turn your meats occasionally and to always keep it refrigerated when marinating. Remember the key here is time. The longer the meat is in the marinade the more flavor it will absorb.
- 1/4 cup Bourbon
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Dijon style mustard
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Coarse ground black pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients. Place meat in the marinade and cover. Can be used for beef, chicken or pork. Place in refrigerator over night, turning occasionally and use marinate to baste meat while meat is on the grill.
Makes about 1 cup
