Basic Dry Rub
Cook's notes: A lot of basic dry rubs consist only of salt (kosher or sea salt) and ground coarse black pepper. You can add any additional seasoning you prefer. Try adding ground white pepper, ground celery seed, cayenne, onion powder or ground ginger. Of course, not all at the same time. After all a rub is merely a dry marinate. You can use this rub as a starting point then branch out to your own creations!
- 3 tablespoon salt
- 3 tablespoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoon paprika
Directions: Rub olive oil on your meats before seasoning. This will ensure the spices stick. Adjust amounts depending on the size of your meat.
